Louise became interested in psychology during her teenage years. As an observant introvert, she curiously observed the anguish and frustration of her peers as they struggled with relationships, identities, parents and academics. Personally, she identified with the desire for sharing meaningful experiences based upon the discovery and understanding of one's true and authentic values.
Excited and curious about the human condition, Louise earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology with Honors at Texas State University in 1988 and Masters of Counseling Degree from St. Edwards's University in Austin, TX in 2011. There she earned the Presidential Fellowship Award. She spent her time in between working in the music industry and raising a very artistically gifted family in Austin, Texas.
Her hobbies include: singing, reading, film, yoga, wishful knitting and scheming up ways to be in the Rocky Mountains. She also makes homemade soap, which is pretty neat.
Louise's clients ofter comment about her calm presence and they feel listened to, accepted and not judged.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern, Louise consults with a Supervisor until she completes the Board required hours for LPC licensure. This benefits clients because she offers counseling services at affordable rates for clients who pay privately for services.
